Virtual Artist Salon Series

The artist salon series was designed to showcase the creative practices of Kresge Artist Fellows and Gilda Award recipients, provide space for an exchange of ideas and perspectives among all participants, and further the connection between Kresge Artist Fellows and the wider arts community.

In Spring 2021, Kresge Arts in Detroit produced the program’s first artist salon series featuring the 2020 Kresge Artist Fellows. Each program included a presentation about the artists' practices followed by a Q&A based conversation.

In 2022 and 2023, Kresge Arts in Detroit and WDET collaborated to present the virtual artist salon series featuring the 2021 cohort and 2022 cohort, respectively. Each iteration included video presentations by awarded metro Detroit artists followed by a moderated conversation.
