Connecting artists to paid exhibition opportunities like Sidewalk Festival is just one way Kresge Arts in Detroit supports the careers of Detroit artists during their award year and beyond.
Sidewalk Festival 2023 was our third collaboration with Sidewalk Detroit since 2020. The partnership began in 2020 with NOW:FUTURE neighborhood performance series. We teamed up again in 2021 to host NOW:FUTURE Artist Summit: Unpacking Mutual Aid and Alternative Economies for Detroit Artists.
